Biography Part I
My full name is Jeremy Meade Culpepper. I am rooted to a small Western New York town called, Jamestown. That is where I was born and raised. My family was quite musical growing up. We formed a alternative to the Partridge Family called the King's Kids. It was a christian group made up of my three brothers, my mother on the guitar, and myself. Although there wasn't much success with this group, it gave me insight to performance. From there, I would join many choirs and participate in many school plays. And during my junior year of high school, I picked up the guitar for the first time. After about three years of playing, I joined my first band. We called ourselves Aiming at Empty and were made up of members Evan Dawson, Nick Longauer, and roger Chagnon....and myslef of course. We played a lot of poppy, original tunes. It didn't last long at all. A few gigs and some crazy hat shows and we were done. I then joined anohter band with Evan and his brother, Ryan. We called ourselves, Canvas, with the rythym help of Zachary Walker Band drummer, Jerry Beuscher. We too played only a few gigs and didn't last long at all. It was after this that I realized that I would be much better off playing solo and not worrying about other band memebrs not having my kind of motivation and determination. I started out by opening a few gigs for the Zachary Walker Band. I got some exposure, but still it wasn't what I wanted. So, i began to look for venues to play as a headliner, which is tough these days as a solo artist. I landed a bi-weekly gig at a bar in Bowling Green, Oh ( where i got to school ) and am now on my way to stardom. Whetehr I ever sign a record label or play in front of thousands of people, I will always feel successful as long as people appreciate what I do.
